On my very first hunt at the Quail Shed, I got rattled and missed a world class 8 point buck, but I sure had a great time!
On my second trip, I shot a Pope and Young whitetail.
Then, in 2006, I shot a deer that weighed 307 pounds! The hunting there is fantastic!

Not knowing what to expect, my trip to the Quail Shed turned out to be everything I could have hoped for. They did everything they could to see that I shoot a big buck. And, I was lucky enough to shoot my biggest buck ever, a 164 inch giant! I even saw a possible 190 inch buck as well.
You can bet I'll be back again!

I've been fortunate enough to have hunted some nice places, but the bowhunting at this outfitter is by far some of the best. I killed a 176 inch buck my first day out, after missing a beautiful 140 inch eight point minutes before! Who would have ever imagined a second chance at a larger deer? I have hunted deer in many great places. But, I have never seen the quantity of big bucks that I saw at the Quail Shed.
I truly believe that I saw a dozen giant bucks in a two week period!
I passed a solid Pope and Young 8 point because I was looking at a Booner that never came in, but I don't regret it one bit!
