Clifford and the guides wake up at 4:00 AM.
By 4:30, the staff is in the kitchen setting up the Continental breakfast, and the coffee is brewing.
We set out fresh fruit, dry cereal, oatmeal, grits, and pastries, along with milk and orange juice.
At 4:45AM, its lights on, and all of our hunters get told to wake up!
We make everyone a big sack lunch to take with them to their stand, which includes an Extra Large sandwich, a bag of chips, a piece of fruit, and a bottled drink, either water or a soft drink with a screw on cap!
This is to hold you over until supper time!
There are also cookies, and candy on the table at all times, for the guys who have a sweet tooth!
At 5:00 AM, we are getting everyone headed to their stands.
After all of our hunters are out, the early hours of the morning are spent riding and glassing other properties, to monitor deer activity.
When someone calls in to tell us they have shot a deer, we are available to track or recover it within a few minites.
All deer are brought to our skinning shed, where we take trophy photos, weigh them, and rough score the antlers. We have everything in place to skin, cape, quarter, and ice down a deer, and we like to get them done right away!
Right after sundown, everyone sits down to a great home cooked meal, with all you can eat!
Warning: You may gain weight on this hunt
After supper, your guide will discuss the events of the day with you.
That information is used to decide about the following day's hunt!
